The School of Humanities and Fine Arts invites applications for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor positions in Linguistics, with a preference for candidates specializing in Applied Linguistics in one of the following languages:

Italian (one position or more)
Spanish (one position or more)
English (one position or more)

Successful candidates may commence employment on 1 October 2026, 1 March 2027, or 1 October 2027, depending on mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

Depending on their language specialization, teach undergraduate courses in the Italian Studies or Spanish Studies programme, or undergraduate and graduate courses in the English Studies programme.
Conduct high‑quality research in Applied Linguistics and disseminate research findings through publications in peer‑reviewed scholarly journals.
Contribute actively to the academic, administrative, and organizational activities of the Faculty.

The University seeks candidates with a strong research profile and a commitment to publishing regularly in high‑impact, internationally recognized peer‑reviewed journals. Faculty members are expected to meet the University’s annual research publication requirements.

Qualifications

A PhD in Linguistics, preferably with a specialization in Applied Linguistics.
Demonstrated experience in university‑level teaching, as well as in academic service and administrative responsibilities within a higher education institution.
A strong record of research achievements, evidenced by scholarly publications, including articles published in journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and/or Scopus.
An active research profile in the academic discipline of Linguistics.
A demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching, with enthusiasm, creativity, and a collaborative approach.

Please note that these positions involve on‑campus teaching. Successful candidates will therefore be expected to relocate to Poland before commencing employment.
