We’re Capital on Tap
Capital on Tap started because small businesses were underserved. Big banks were slow, their products weren't fit for purpose, and small business owners often couldn't access what they needed. We set out to fix that.

Today we're a financial platform - not just a credit card company. We offer a best-in-class business credit card, SME-focused spend management platform, a savings product that hit £1 billion in funds within its first year, and a growing suite of tools and financial products that make running a small business easier.

1,000+ employees, £20bn in annual card spend, 200,000+ customers, 17,000+ Trustpilot reviews averaging 4.7 stars, and we're profitable. We’ve done a pretty good job so far, but we’re just getting started!

Ensure existing AI integrations and AI agents (such as coding and pull request assistants) are migrated and continue to function appropriately.
Rework and migrate any other existing ancillary services that are used to facilitate the storage, governance, security, and build procedures, including integrations with Slack, and management of secrets.
Partner and communicate with stakeholders about relevant technical learnings

Our Values & Culture

Just Pilot: We never settle for “good enough”. We pilot new ideas fast, ask questions to figure it out, and scale quickly.
Why Not Today? Fast is as slow as we go - speed and simplicity gives us a competitive advantage.
Be a Buddy: We tap in from day one to help the team, we do the right thing even if it’s hard.
Owners and Dates: We don’t chase people. If you own a task and agree to a date, the expectation is that it gets done.
Feedback: We want our employees to flourish, so we regularly provide direct and constructive feedback.

We’re Looking For

3+ years in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles, with hands-on experience of both Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise.
Proven track record of delivering at least one large-scale source control or CI/CD migration from Azure DevOps (or a similar platform) to GitHub, ideally using GitHub Enterprise Importer or similar tooling.
Strong experience converting Azure Pipelines (YAML and classic) into GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, composite actions, self-hosted runners and environment protection rules.
Experience of secure secrets migration, using GitHub Actions secrets and environments, OIDC federation with cloud providers, and external secret stores such as Azure Key Vault.
Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash or Go) to automate bulk migration tasks through the Azure DevOps and GitHub REST/GraphQL APIs.
Experience reconfiguring third-party integrations such as Slack, Jira and code quality or security scanning tools, including GitHub Apps, webhooks and branch protection or ruleset policies.
Familiarity with AI agent and automation integrations in the software delivery lifecycle (for example GitHub Copilot, MCP servers or custom agents triggered from pipelines), and the ability to rebuild these against GitHub.
Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), as pipelines will deploy into these environments.
Methodical approach to planning and cutover, including phased migration, rollback plans and minimising disruption to engineering teams.
Clear communicator who can document new ways of working and support engineers through the transition, working independently within a fixed timeframe.
