Operating system, Windows About the project, We're looking for a senior Data Engineer who can step into an environment someone else built, work out how it really runs, and make it better. Most of our work is picking up existing platforms rather than starting from scratch. If you solve problems instead of waiting for instructions, like modern cloud tech, and are the person colleagues ask to check their work, keep reading. Your responsibilities, Design & Build, •Build and improve GCP data solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage, •Build and maintain data pipelines and transformations with Python, dbt, and Airflow, •Model data across Data Warehouses, Lakehouses and Data Lakes within an established architecture, •Take over existing environments – map what is there, document it, and make it reliable, , Consult & Advise, •Assess what exists and recommend improvements – your opinion counts, and you'll have an architect to set the direction, •Review the work of other engineers and say clearly when something needs reworking, •Stay up-to-date with trends and new technologies in data engineering, , DevOps & Quality, •Work with Terraform, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines across the full deployment lifecycle, •Ensure high standards of data quality, testing and security – some of this data ends up in financial reporting, •Collaborate closely with the team, sharing knowledge and solving problems together At least 5-6 years of experience working as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform Data and Analytics., Strong hands-on experience with Python, dbt, and Airflow, Solid working knowledge of BigQuery and the wider GCP data stack, Experience in data modelling, integration and security, with Terraform, GitHub and CI/CD as everyday tools, Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to get your bearings fast in an unfamiliar, undocumented environment., Proven ability to work independently on complex projects, review other people's work, and mentor less experienced team members., A consultant's mindset – versatile, comfortable moving between clients and domains. Most importantly: willing to learn and grow., Full English proficiency is a must (B2/C1). Optional, Familiarity with finance data – close cycles, reconciliation, reporting, Familiarity with marketing data as a domain (no specific ad platforms required), Experience delivering under SOX or similar controls – change management, approvals, evidence for auditors What we offer, We're a growing company with global clients and big goals.
