• Proven experience (3+ years) in data science or advanced analytics roles
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python (preferred) or R
• Proficiency in using data visualisation tools to communicate findings
• Experience with machine learning techniques and statistical modelling
• Experience working with large, complex datasets
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Understanding of data ethics, privacy, and governance principles
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborative environments
• Experience of applying version control in GitHub and of collaborating with others on codebases
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Written and verbal proficiency in English is required

Nice to have:

• Experience in a commercial, or education technology environment
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with modern data engineering tools and frameworks
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and product development lifecycles
• Publications, conference presentations, or contributions to the data science community
