Engineering Tech Lead (Java | AI/LLM) Kraków, Poland | Hybrid (6 days/month in the office) International Banking Project Employment via Antal (B2B or Employment Contract / UoP) We are looking for an Engineering Tech Lead to drive the development of modern Java-based applications while leading the adoption of LLM, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic AI solutions. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience building and operating production-grade AI systems—not someone who has only used generative AI tools. Your responsibilities Lead technical design and architecture decisions while mentoring the engineering team. Design, develop, and deliver high-quality applications using Java/Spring Boot and React. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes-based deployments, and cloud infrastructure. Design, test, and optimize prompts for production LLM use cases. Build and maintain Agentic AI solutions, including tool/function calling, multi-agent workflows, evaluation pipelines, observability, and guardrails. Partner with product and business teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. What we're looking for Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer. Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and React. Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD practices. Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Hands-on experience delivering LLM-powered applications into production, including Prompt Engineering, prompt evaluation (e.g. LangSmith, PromptFlow, Braintrust), structured outputs, function/tool calling, and agent orchestration. Nice to have Experience designing autonomous or multi-agent AI systems. Knowledge of LLM observability, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices. Experience working in highly regulated environments such as banking or financial services. What we offer Long-term project for a global banking client.
