Project Controller/ Project Cost Controller

Your responsibilities

• Monitoring project costs, revenue, margins, cash flow and financial performance
• Preparing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts and cost-to-complete estimates
• Analysing actual costs against budget and identifying deviations, risks and opportunities
• Supporting monthly project reporting, financial closing and management reviews
• Working closely with Project Managers to improve cost awareness and financial decision-making
• Following up purchase orders, commitments, invoicing, milestones and payment status
• Supporting change-order management and the financial evaluation of project variations
• Identifying potential cost overruns early and recommending corrective actions
• Ensuring accurate project data, documentation and financial reporting
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of project control processes, tools and ways of working

Our requirements

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• Relevant experience within project controlling, cost control, financial analysis or project finance
• Good understanding of project budgets, forecasting, margins, cash flow and cost-to-complete calculations
• Experience from an engineering, maritime, energy, construction or industrial project environment is an advantage
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with ERP and financial reporting systems
• Good business understanding and the ability to turn financial data into clear recommendations
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge project assumptions when necessary
• A structured, proactive and solution-oriented way of working
• Professional proficiency in English

About the Position

As Project Controller, you will take ownership of the financial performance of assigned projects from start to completion. You will provide clear financial insight, challenge assumptions and help the project organization take timely and commercially sound decisions.
