Your responsibilities

  • Lead investment and improvement projects from concept to successful implementation.
  • Build and coordinate cross-functional project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to agreed objectives.
  • Prepare tender and procurement documentation, including RFQs, technical specifications, scopes of work and project requirements.
  • Support procurement activities, including material and service sourcing, supplier selection and negotiations.
  • Analyse existing projects and production solutions and identify opportunities for improvement, optimisation and innovation.
  • Take ownership of project timelines, budgets, quality and overall delivery.
  • Work closely with the Barry Callebaut Group Engineering team in Belgium, as well as local and international stakeholders.
  • Ensure that projects comply with applicable legislation, engineering standards and food safety requirements.
  • Identify and implement technical solutions that improve production efficiency, reliability, safety and quality.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and optimisation of our chocolate manufacturing operations.

Our requirements

  • A university degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project engineering, engineering and/or maintenance.
  • Fluent English — you will be working with international teams and colleagues.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong technical curiosity and a genuine interest in production technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • A results-oriented approach and strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel when required.
  • The ability to manage several projects and priorities while keeping a clear focus on deadlines, budget and quality.
