PROJECT MANAGER AUTOMATION - PHARMA

For an international company specialized in industrial automation and advanced automation solutions for the pharmaceutical sector , we are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager - Automation to join the Automation team in Łódź.

We are looking for a senior professional with 10-15+ years of experience in industrial automation , ideally gained within the pharmaceutical industry or pharmaceutical automation , with a strong technical background and proven experience managing complex projects and technical teams.

THE ROLE

As Project Manager, you will act as the main technical interface for customers throughout the entire project lifecycle , from requirements gathering and definition of functional specifications through automation architecture, testing, commissioning and final delivery.

You will also be responsible for coordinating the project team and on-site technical activities, ensuring that projects are delivered according to the agreed technical scope, quality standards and timelines .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage complex industrial automation projects from concept to final delivery
• Act as the primary technical interface with the customer
• Gather customer requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications
• Define automation architectures and technical solutions
• Coordinate and supervise project teams and external suppliers
• Manage project scope, planning, milestones, quality and deadlines
• Define comprehensive I/O lists and technical documentation
• Coordinate testing activities and verify data exchange between PLCs, field devices and SCADA systems
• Coordinate and lead commissioning and start-up activities at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during testing and commissioning
• Work closely with Engineering, Automation, Service and Quality Assurance teams

REQUIREMENTS

• 10-15+ years of experience in industrial automation project management and coordination
• Strong preference for candidates coming from the pharmaceutical industry or pharmaceutical automation
• Extensive knowledge of industrial automation systems and machinery
• Good knowledge of industrial communication protocols and Ethernet networks
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documentation
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical production processes
• Knowledge of EU GMP Annex 11 / 21 CFR Part 11
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project
• Fluent English

THE PROFILE

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity to take on a high-responsibility technical and managerial role within an international environment, working on automation projects for the pharmaceutical industry.

The position is based in Łódź, Poland , with direct reporting to the Italian Headquarters and requires availability for national and international travel.
