Your responsibilities, Designing and developing real-time operating systems for embedded controllers, including multi-controller synchronization, Implementing bootloader functionality to ensure reliable firmware execution with integrity checking and safe startup behavior, Developing a parameter manager that supports parameter creation, deletion, naming, data typing, derived parameters, default values, non-volatile storage, and change logging, Creating firmware update manager functions for main and cell controllers, including compatibility checks, failure notifications, and rollback behavior, Contributing to the evaluation and implementation of file transfer mechanisms for firmware updates, including EtherCAT-based approaches, Developing transient fault recorder functionality to capture variables before, during, and after fault events, including trigger conditions and sampling strategies, Implementing time-aware logging for fault records, considering communication bandwidth and synchronization constraints, Developing real-time firmware in C or C++ for microcontrollers and digital signal processors used in power electronic equipment, Performing debugging, verification, and validation using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, Preparing clear technical documentation, including software requirements, architecture, interface descriptions, and test procedures, Contributing to code reviews, configuration management, and software quality practices
Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development with a strong focus on C/C++, Familiarity with Texas Instruments DSP and ARM processors, Hands-on experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), Proficiency in implementing bootloader and firmware update mechanisms, Advanced level of Polish and English, Residency in Poland Optional, Experience with EtherCAT protocols for firmware updates, Familiarity with debugging tools like JTAG/SWD debuggers and hardware-in-the-loop test systems This is how we work,
