We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Automation Engineer to join a global infrastructure team. The role focuses on leading mainframe automation migration projects, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring high availability within complex z/OS environments. Project information: Type of project: IT services Office location: Poland: Katowice, Gdańsk, Kraków, Lublin, Opole, Poznań, Warszawa, Wrocław Work model: Hybrid (40% office /60% remote) Budget: 90-110 PLN net/ h- b2b Project length: Long-term Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and residence in Poland Start date: ASAP (depending on candidate’s availability) Project scope: Lead migration projects from CA OPS/MVS to Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS and from CA Automation Point to Systems Automation for Integrated Operations Management (SAIOM) Configure and implement policy-based automation solutions within z/OS environments Develop and maintain automation rules, REXX execs, and System Automation Policy Database (PDB) configurations Provide installation, configuration, and technical support for automation products Collaborate with operations teams to optimize system startup, shutdown, and recovery processes Ensure high availability and operational efficiency through proactive automation strategies Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including configurations, migration procedures, and operational guidelines Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues in production environments Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable automation solutions Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in a mainframe operations environment in operational, support, consultancy, or service roles Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS Strong experience with TSO and ISPF for system management and administration Good knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) Practical experience in REXX programming and script maintenance Working knowledge of System Automation Policy Database (PDB) Proven experience delivering z/OS automation migration projects Hands-on experience with NetView for z/OS Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good English communication skills We offer: Remote working model Full-time job agreement based on b2b Private medical care with dental care (covering 70% of costs) Multisport card (also for an accompanying person) Life insurance Recruitment process: Introductory call Technical interview Final decision
