The Senior PL/SQL Developer will join an international agile squad responsible for a core business platform.
The Senior PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Oracle-based software solutions, supporting system integrations, and translating business needs into reliable technical solutions.
The role combines hands-on SQL and PL/SQL development with technical analysis, testing, documentation, and collaboration across development teams. Success requires delivering solutions that meet business requirements and established standards for stability, security, scalability, testability, and maintainability.
To strengthen the organization’s core business platform by delivering reliable Oracle-based solutions, enabling effective system integrations, and improving software quality across an international technology environment.
1. Deliver reliable Oracle-based solutions that meet business needs
Typical tasks include developing functions, scripts, and complex database queries; maintaining existing functionality; and implementing enhancements using Oracle technologies.
The Senior PL/SQL Developer will deliver solutions that meet agreed requirements and follow development, data, and security standards, with a focus on stability, scalability, testability, and maintainability.
2. Develop and maintain effective integrations between systems
Typical tasks include designing, developing, and maintaining web interfaces connecting internal systems with external partners, customers, and users, and providing technical guidance on integration topics to other development teams.
The developer will help ensure that integrations support the required business processes and remain reliable and maintainable.
3. Translate business and technical needs into clear implementation requirements
Typical tasks include clarifying and qualifying requirements with peers and squad members, contributing to pre-project studies, analyzing technical options, and identifying implementation dependencies and constraints.
The developer will help the squad establish a shared understanding of the required outcome and select solutions aligned with business needs and platform standards.
4. Verify solution quality and resolve issues before release
Typical tasks include testing new solutions, investigating issues, implementing required adjustments, and participating in code reviews.
The developer will use testing and constructive peer feedback to identify defects, improve code quality, and confirm that delivered functionality meets agreed requirements.
5. Maintain clear technical documentation and share expertise
Typical tasks include creating and updating documentation covering developed functionality, interfaces, and technical decisions, and sharing best practices with colleagues and developer communities.
The developer will make solutions easier to understand, support, and maintain, while helping other teams address integration and development questions.
6. Contribute to effective agile delivery and continuous improvement
Typical tasks include participating in agile ceremonies, collaborating with squad members, communicating progress and technical challenges, and contributing ideas to improve development and delivery practices.
The developer will support coordinated delivery, constructive collaboration, and ongoing improvements in the squad’s ways of working.
