About the project, We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, automation, reliability, and operational excellence of a business-critical Azure-based data and reporting platform. This role will be responsible for establishing a robust and highly available platform foundation, ensuring seamless collaboration between data engineering and infrastructure teams., , The ideal candidate combines strong Azure platform expertise with deep knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and enterprise operations. They will play a key role in building a scalable, secure, and resilient platform capable of supporting mission-critical reporting and external-facing data products.

Your responsibilities, Own and drive CI/CD implementation, release management, and deployment automation., Act as the technical liaison between engineering and infrastructure teams., Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions., Establish and manage monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability frameworks., Define and implement backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies., Ensure platform reliability, resilience, performance, and maintainability., Implement and promote operational best practices, governance standards, and security controls., Support platform scalability and availability requirements in SLA-driven environments., Identify opportunities for automation and continuous operational improvement., Contribute to architecture discussions and platform engineering decisions.

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure platform services and cloud infrastructure., Extensive hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code., Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar automation technologies., Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, observability, and operational excellence practices., Proven experience designing and supporting highly available and resilient cloud platforms., Experience with disaster recovery, backup and restore processes, and business continuity planning., Knowledge of security, governance, compliance, and platform engineering best practices., Familiarity with enterprise-scale operational environments and SLA-driven service delivery., Strong communication and stakeholder management skills., Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, infrastructure, and operations functions.

Optional, Experience supporting Azure Databricks environments., Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and modern data platforms., Experience with cloud security frameworks and governance models., Azure certifications in administration, architecture, or DevOps., Experience working within large-scale enterprise data and analytics programs.

In the early phase of the project, the successful candidate will focus on:, Establishing a robust Azure platform foundation., Implementing automated CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices., Defining monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational processes., Designing platform resilience, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities., Supporting the delivery of a highly available platform targeting 99.5% uptime or higher., Creating strong collaboration models between engineering and infrastructure teams., Ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, maintainable, and ready to support business-critical workloads.
